Safety Procedures After Use

Proper Shutdown

After completing work, lower the scissor lift fully and secure it to the supports before turning off the equipment. On an aerial lift, cradle the boom and secure the bucket. Ensure that all controls are returned to the neutral position and that the brakes are engaged. If wheel chocks were used be sure to remove them and store them properly. Raise and properly stow the outriggers.

The boom is cradled, and the bucket is secure.

Disconnect the power source, whether electrical or hydraulic, and ensure that no moving parts can be activated unintentionally. Remove the keys and store them in the appropriate location.
