680 Aerial and Scissor Lift Safety Skip to main content

Introduction

Aerial lifts and scissor lifts are commonly used in construction, maintenance, and other industries to help workers reach high or difficult-to-access areas. While these machines are essential for getting jobs done efficiently, they also come with significant risks if not used correctly. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), aerial lifts are one of the leading causes of serious workplace injuries and fatalities.

This course will guide students through types of aerial lifts, safety procedures and precautions, and OSHA standards. By the end of this course, you should be able to identify the hazards associated with aerial and scissor lifts and know how to safely address them at your worksite.
