Covered Equipment Attachments

OSHA 1926.1400 applies to equipment when used with attachments.

Attachments are useful because they expand the range of tasks that can be done by the crane. Whether crane-attached or suspended attachments include:

  • hooks,
  • magnets,
  • grapples,
  • clamshell buckets,
  • orange peel buckets,
  • concrete buckets,

  • personnel platforms,
  • augurs or drills, and
  • pile driving equipment.
