Personal Protective and Safety Equipment
Description
Covers selection, use, and oversight of personal protective and lifesaving equipment. Students can expect emphasis on employer/employee responsibilities, inspection and training expectations, and major categories of protection (e.g., head, eye/face, hand, hearing, full-body), along with items such as high-visibility apparel, respiratory protection program elements, and flotation/lifesaving equipment (including personal flotation devices).
Important Information
This refresher course is for EM 385 refresher training only and does not count toward the EM 385-1-1 (2024) 40-Hour Program. For initial training, you must enroll in the 40-Hour Program and purchase the program certificate package.
