Chemical Hazards in Construction

Introduction

Construction workers are exposed daily to various health hazards on the construction site.

Hazardous chemicals can produce acute and/or chronic health issues.

Covering the health hazards in construction is outside the scope of our training in this course, but we will cover some of the hazards to which workers will be exposed.

Hazards

Failure to recognize the hazards associated with chemicals can cause chemical burns, respiratory problems, fires and explosions on construction sites.
