Introduction

This course is created specifically for employees in various industrial settings who need a basic introduction to occupational safety and health. The goal of the course is to introduce you to some of the most important safety and health topic areas including, hazard communications, hazardous chemicals, walking/working surfaces, preventing workplace violence and the basics of safety and health programs.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, you should be able to:

LO 1.4.1 Define workplace violence and discuss common methods to protect employees when violence occurs.
LO 1.5.1 List and discuss the main elements of an effective occupational safety and health program.
