These forklifts are suitable for companies that have narrow aisles in their facilities to maximize the use of storage space.

Class II forklifts have unique features that are designed to minimize the space occupied by the forklift while improving speed and efficiency. They are commonly used in warehouses and distribution centers for material handling tasks such as order picking, pallet stacking, and inventory management.

Some examples of Type II Forklifts include:

  1. Order pickers
  2. Reach trucks
  3. Turret trucks (also known as very narrow aisle trucks or VNA trucks)
  4. Side loaders
  5. Swing reach trucks

These forklifts are hand controlled by the operator who is in front of the forklift.

The operator controls the forklift using a steering tiller. All of the controls are mounted on the top of the tiller which is moved side to side to steer the forklift. Class III forklifts are battery powered with the smaller capacity units using industrial batteries. They are also known as walk-behind pallet jacks.

These forklifts are designed to be manually operated and are powered by an electric motor or a hydraulic pump. Some examples of type III forklifts include:

  2. Rider pallet jacks

  5. Tow tractors
